On 13th November 2015, three gunmen entered the french theatre Bataclan wearing suicide belts, started firing at people and taking hostages. Two of the gunmen killed themselves by detonating the suicide vests, while the third attacker was killed by the police. Two of the attackers, Samy Amimour and Omar Ismaïl Mostefaï, were french citizens. Foued Mohamed-Aggad was carrying an alleged Syrian stolen passport.
90 people were killed and over 200 wounded.
Following the attack, Paris was a deserted mourning city, with people paying tribute to the victims.
