LONDON BRIDGE ATTACK | UK
The 3rd June 2017, between 10 and 10.20pm, a van was driven into pedestrians on London Bridge and then crashed on the south bank of the Thames. The three men on the van then ran towards the Borough Market, where they started stabbing people in pubs and restaurants. 8 killed and 48 injured. The three men, wearing fake explosive vests, were shot dead by police officers.
Khuram Shazad Butt, Rachid Redouane and Yousseff Zaghba had been watched by police in the past and were known for their radicalization. Isis claimed the responsability of the attack.
The following morning, the area was in lockdown and some buildings still had to be evacuated. Commemorations were held, with the mayor Sadiq Khan having a public speech near London Bridge.
